Fair

As a cherry on top, elementary and teens can pre-enter* our science fair, where they can display a traditional project of their choice, receive an evaluation from qualified judges, and potentially walk home with STEM themed prizes.
*The Science Fair will be open to the general homeschool community. Projects can be presented for $5/entry for co-op families and $10/entry for guests.
Science Show
February 3, 2026
Let's meet up in Holly Hill with an educator from Roper Science Center and engage with them as they perform several demonstrations in a show called “Chemical Capers.”
This fast-paced assembly will explore chemicals and chemical reactions in our world! What are they? How do they happen? And what are the results? Our children will use all of their senses to investigate these questions as our visiting scientist demonstrates several exciting chemical reactions.
This interactive presentation is designed for children 4 and up. But not to worry, we'll also have a special room and space prepared for our 0-3 Babies and toddlers - And they will have their own little workshop to keep their tiny minds and hands engaged.
This event is exclusively for registered co-op families.
Marionette Theatre
February 17, 2026
The Columbia Marionette Theatre will make a trip to Holly Hill to present their talent to our registered co-op families.
Watch as three of our favorite storybook characters "Build a Better World" for themselves by combining their resources and working together to keep the Big Bad Wolf at bay. Special cameo appearance by Little Red Riding Hood!
The Columbia Marionette Theatre will use short-strung marionettes, and a wide variety of creative rod puppets to bring this wonderful story to life.
We'll get a rare look at behind the scenes once the show is wrapped up and your children will get to participate in a question-and-answer session with the theatre's traveling team.
*The Marionette Theatre will be open to the general homeschool community. Tickets will be complementary for our registered co-op families and $5/person for guests.
Wheel Party

We’ll meet up in Holly Hill with our scooters, roller blades, or skates and take on an obstacle course featuring opportunities to roll fast and slow, duck, turn, brake, and more. There’ll be wheel races (think electronic) for the teens and ride-on cars for the littles. Enjoy the fresh air while your crew wheels around making memories with their friends.
Families can bring a picnic lunch and enjoy some complimentary hot chocolate (unless it’s hot, then we’ll have popsicles)! There is no cost, and this event is exclusively for co-op members.

Splash Pad & Water Kickball
May 5, 2026
Time to get wet and wild with a hilarious game of water kickball out on the field of Davis-Bailey park in St. George. Kids will team up and race to the bases, otherwise known as kiddie pools - and you’re not “safe” unless you get wet! While the elementary and teens compete for the title of true water champions, our littles will enjoy the splash pad onsite.
Picnic lunch under a covered pavilion and complimentary hotdogs will make this a favorite outing.
This event will be exclusively for registered co-op families and there is no cost.
Teddy Bears Picnic
May 19, 2026
Everyone grab your favorite stuffed animal, pack a picnic lunch, and head to Gilmore park in Holly Hill. Inspired by Jimmy Kennedy’s “The Teddy Bears’ Picnic,” there will be themed activities, contests, and games. Enjoy music while you eat, join in for the teddy bear parade, listen to teddy bear stories at a revolving “circle time” and take a family picture with our life-size teddy bear!
With events and games planned for students in all age groups (yes, we have a special “teen tent”), this will be a fun for everyone in the family.
This event is open to anyone in the homeschool community. It is a FREE event, but registration is still required and priority will be given to co-op members. This final event is a great way to celebrate the end of the Root & Arrow “school season” and to invite other homeschool families to come find out more about who we are.
